New Mexico Solutions’ specialized staff offers a variety of counseling services for children, adolescents, adults and their family members or life partners. Staff composition is multi-disciplinary, including psychologists, social workers, counselors, and psychiatrists. A Point of Entry Service for new or returning clients is used for assessing an individual’s needs and then scheduling the initial appointment for services with the professional best qualified to meet those needs. Individuals may also be assessed and referred to local hospitals, to school-based services or perhaps, to a home-based service when available.
Case Management services are available to assist child and adult clients with accessing services and community support systems such as supported living, educational services, vocational services, welfare, food stamps and medical services. Case Managers assist clients through advocacy, educational activities, and coordination of services. Case Managers can effectively assist clients in transitioning between services or after hospitalization. Case Management is currently only available for clients eligible for Medicaid or enrolled in certain substance abuse programs.
